Rob Lowe, 23, of Deford, died suddenly Tuesday, June 27, 2006 as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. He was born April 15, 1983 in Bad Axe, MI to Michael and Diane (Stine) Lowe.
Rob graduated from Cass City High School in 2002. He entered the US Army National Guard and was assigned to B Battery 1-182 Field Artillery Battalion (MLRS). Rob worked for Blue Line Trucking of Reese driving truck. He recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. He continued working for Blue Line Trucking after returning from Iraq and currently for Sabreline Transportation Inc. of Saginaw. Rob enjoyed racing and riding motorcycles, riding snowmobiles, watching movies and driving semi.
Rob is survived by his parents: Mike and Diane Lowe; sister, Rebecca (Kevin) Brott of Sparta; nephew, Eric Brott; nieces: Allie Brott and Kelsey Brott; grandparents: Maynard and Lucille Stine of Deford, Keith and Mary Ann Lowe of Deford; aunts and uncles: Karen (Peter) Fittante of Durand, Susan (Rob) Smith of Snover, Laura Cotton of Deford, Maynard (Cathy) Stine of Saginaw, David Stine of Ypsilanti, Michael (Denise) Stine of Deford, Brian (Peggy) Stine of Applegate, Richard (Daria) Lowe of Raleigh, NC, Diane (Rick) Spooner of Rives Junction; many cousins; and many, many great friends. Rob is preceded in death by his great grandparents: Ed and Nellie Anthes, Josephine and Albert Stine, Ivan and Frankie Underwood, Jim and Norma Lowe.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Gerald Meyer officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment will take place in Novesta Township Cemetery. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
