KENNETH MELVIN LONG
59, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 8 , 2009 in his home. He was born August 15, 1950 in Saginaw to Floyd Melvin and Rena (Praay) Long.
Ken worked for Michigan Sugar Company for several years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodcrafting, drawing, playing guitar, writing and singing songs.
Ken is survived by his children: Kendra (Chris) Schell of Huntington, IN, Sarah (Torrey) Frost of Chesaning, Jeffrey (Lesha) Long of Hemlock; grandchildren: Xavier, Blake, Brooklyn, Tessa, Bella, Logan, Taylor; special companion: Carole Bessler and her family, Heather (Nick) Fischer all of Cass City; brother, Dennis (Doris) Long of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Phillip Long.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor David Bostrom of Providence Church, Caro, officiating. Interment will be in Homer Township Cemetery, Midland. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
