THOMAS LIS,
70, of Deford, died following a brief illness Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Medilodge of Grand Blanc. He was born February 21, 1950 in Detroit.
Tom was raised in Detroit and received his diploma from St. Francis High School. He was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone as a technical supervisor until retiring. Tom was an avid and accomplished bowler. He participated in many leagues and traveled for various bowling tournaments. A member of Pheasants Forever and an outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed hunting with family and friends. He was fond of creek fishing for pike. Tom was excellent at shooting skeet and competed in numerous leagues. He had an appreciation for cars, Corvettes were his favorite. Tom always came to holiday dinner bearing gifts of food, especially his homemade Chrusciki for Christmas Eve. He was member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church of Cass City.
Tom is survived by members of the Lis family and Skotarcyzk families; his godson, Joshua Delaney of Arlington, VA; lifelong friends and neighbors: Delphine Tomlin and Dallas Englehart; many friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Mass held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2020 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church of Cass City. Interment in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church mass fund. Friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com. Attendees are also kindly reminded to wear a mask or other facial covering and practice social distancing while inside the funeral home and church.
