Linda Sue Linderman, 55, of Cass City, died peacefully Sunday, February 22, 2004 in her mother’s home in Deford following a short illness. She was born August 19, 1948 in Cass City to Maurice and Dorothy (Klinkman) Taylor. She married Harvey Linderman September 12, 1970 in Cass City. She is a lifelong area resident.
Sue graduated from Cass City High School in 1966. She worked at Deford Christian Academy as a Teacher’s Aid for many years. Sue helped her mom cater many church occasions over the years, including wedding and funeral dinners. At one time she sold Stanley Products and Avon. For the last 7 years, Sue worked for Eichers Cleaners as a clerk and enjoyed seeing all the people who came by. She loved visiting her mom and dad’s cabin and spending time there enjoying the lake. Sue was a member of Deford Community Church. She liked snowmen, collected Coke products and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved her dog, Tique.
Sue is survived by her husband: Harvey J. Linderman; children: Ted L. Linderman of Deford, Jeri Lynn Linderman of Cass City; brothers, John (Jeanne) Shagena of Cass City, Maurice L. (Kathy) Taylor of Whitmore Lake; sister, Lynn (Bernie) Babich of Deford; mother, Dorothy Taylor of Deford; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Humpert, Helen Sprague, Marylin (Bill) Woodward, Janet (Hazen) Roberts, Norma (Gerry) Craigi; brother-in-law, Bill (Verna) Linderman; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Frank Taylor; brother, Larry Shagena; grandparents, Arthur and Phoebe Klinkman; two great nieces, Treasure and Riches Thomas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Phyllis Linderman; sister-in-law, Nancy Peters.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004 in Deford Community Church with Pastor David Mercer officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Deford Christian Academy. Pallbearers for Mrs. Linderman: Jim Thomas, Tim Babich, John Linderman, Jeff Linderman, Dave Luana, Greg Miller, Jim Sattelberg and Chuck Sattelberg; Honorary Pallbearers: John Shagena, Joel Shagena.
Visitation: Monday, February 23, 2004 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2004 2 to 5 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m.
