STELLA "CioCia" LORETTA LESZCZYNSKI,
95, of Cass City, went to be with her Lord Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Bay Regional Medical Center, Bay City with her family by her side. She was born July 3, 1915 in Detroit to Stanley and Lillian (Gorecki) Leszczynski.
Stella was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Detroit, St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City and was a member of St. Pancratius Ladies Council. While living in Detroit Stella worked for J L Hudson, then National Stamping. She later moved to Romeo and worked for L & L Manufacturing retiring after many years. Stella made her home for the past 29 years on the family farm in Cass City. Stella (our CioCia) will be sadly missed by all for her overwhelming big heart, love, kindness and caring for others. She was happy when she would take care of the little ones, volunteer her time making cancer pads for those in need and visiting the local nursing homes. She loved her family and enjoyed special occasions and family get togethers. Stella loved to dance.
Stella is survived by her brothers: Richard Otulakowski of St. Clair, Eugene Otulakowski of Marlette, Stanley (Barbara) Otulakowski of Snover; sisters: Patricia (W. Joseph) Walsh of Ubly, Lillian (Evans) Gibbard of Ubly; step sister, Rose Czarnecki of East Pointe; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brother, Leo and his wife, Helen Leszczynski; sister-in-law, Veda Otulakowski; step-brother, Walter Otulakowski.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Sr. Maria Dina Puddu MC officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Pancratius Catholic Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
