ELIZABETH MARGARET LEFLER
83, of Cass City, died peacefully Thursday, September 29, 2022 in her home. She was born September 24, 1939 in Flint to Louis and Clara (Hermes) Pfaff. She married James Howard Lefler on January 23, 1960 in Sandusky. He died November 13, 2016.
Elizabeth graduated from Deckerville High School and worked as a manager for IGA in the frozen food and dairy department. Later, she babysat and cared for many children in her home. A fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, Elizabeth enjoyed watching games on television. She played on a bowling league and was a talented cook and baker. Elizabeth shared her talent of crocheting and made lap quilts for hospital residents. She also made numerous mittens, gloves, and hats and donated them to the area schools. Family was always very important to her.
Elizabeth is survived by her children: Michael (Lisa) Lefler of Mio, Sherry Lefler of Cass City, Thomas (Christina) Lefler of Hope, IN; Jeffrey (special friend, Karen Rice) Lefler, of Cass City; grandchildren: Kayla (Michael) Kososky, Kyle (Tara) Lefler, Kathryn Lefler, Brandon (Brittany) Lefler, Cassondra Long, Alexis Long, Eric Lefler, Bethany Lefler, James M. Lefler; great grandchildren: Dante, Aleena, McKenna, EmJae, Weston, Luka, Zoey, Yisraella; also her special grandchildren; Paislee Ball, Addison Fredricks, Blair Ball, Katie Ball; brother, Ed (Ellen) Pfaff of Argyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clara; step-father, George Wruble; husband, James; brother, Ken Pfaff.
Graveside memorial service held at a later date in Johnson Cemetery, Lamotte Township with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating.
