SHIRLEY MARIE LAW
Shirley Marie (Ross) Law, age 69 of Hamburg Township, Michigan died Saturday, July 14, 2012 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a true friend to all who knew her. Shirley was born January 26, 1943 in Cass City to Bernard and Loretta (Dillon) Ross. On October 26, 1968, Shirley married her loving husband of 43 years, Delbert Law in St. Norbert Catholic Church, Munger.
Shirley was a graduate of Cass City High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Sienna Heights University. She was employed as a medical technologist and was a manager at Warde Medical Laboratory, Ann Arbor before her retirement in 2009. Shirley loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating, gardening and being by the lake with a good book. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was an avid University of Michigan football fan and attended nearly every home game since the 1960’s. Shirley was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Delbert; daughter, Elizabeth Luke of Farmington Hills; grandson, Nolan; mother, Loretta Ross of Cass City; brothers: Jerry (Deborah) Ross of Novi, Rev. Richard Ross SJ of Boston, MA, Robert (Patti) Ross of Ventura, CA; sisters, Sharon (Dan) Delamarter of Cass City and Mary (Jack) Thacker of Belleville; sister-in law, Sherry (Wayne) Dillon of Cass City, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her father Bernard preceded her in death.
The family will gather with friends July 28, 2012 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City for a memorial mass officiated by Rev. Richard Ross, SJ at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
