John Laszlo, 81, of Deford, died October 18, 2015 in St. Mary's of Michigan following a brief illness. John was born on May 11, 1934 in North Branch to the late Stephen and Julia Takarics Laszlo. John married Janet Elaine Peters on September 2, 1960 in Deford.
John worked for Cass City Concrete as a heavy equipment operator and later for Fuelgas where he was a service technician of furnaces and appliances. John served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering and modifying many different contraptions around the house, yard and his workshop. John also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his granddaughters.
John is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Gail and Steven Klein of Brighton; granddaughters: Lindsey Jaeger of Wyoming and Paige Jaeger of South Lyon; brother, Michael and Donna Laszlo of Prescott; sister, Elizabeth Zajac of Kingston; several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his son, Mark; his parents; brothers and sisters: Steve Lasko, Frank Laszlo, Andrew Laszlo, Mary and Dan Gyomory, Julia Vinci, Rose Hancock and Helen Laszlo.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Christian Tabares of Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church officiating. Interment in Novesta Township Cemetery. Military honors under the direction of Cass City V.F.W. Post #3644. Memorials may be made to the Cass City V.F.W.
