Rose Ann Lapeer

Rose Ann Lapeer, 64, of Deford, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 in her home. She was born September 6, 1939 in Mt. Clemens to Leo and Emily (Germain) Mueller. She married Gerald Wolfrum April 11, 1957. He died December 27, 1979. She married Donald C. LaPeer September 4, 1981 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot.

Rose Ann worked many jobs over the years including a Printing Company, Kresge, Nursing Home, Macomb Daily, and last delivering mail in Deford. She was very crafty. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing. Rose Ann and Don worked on many products together including designing jewelry. They traveled to many craft shows, earning Rose Ann the title of “Gypsy Mom”. She had a brilliant mind and loved puzzles, trivia, crossword, and game boys. She was very intelligent. Rose Ann was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She taught catechism for many years. She was a musician and could play organ, piano and guitar. Rose Ann had read the bible many times and often quoted from it. Her faith was strong and she used it to guide her through her life.

Rose Ann is survived by her husband, Donald; children: David Wolfrum of Port Huron, Karen (Don) Trzemzalski of Silverwood, Genevieve (Jeff) Hoskey of Harrison; step-daughter, Carol LaPeer of Caro; grandchildren: Anna, Elizabeth, Kimberly, Sara and Collin; sisters: Barbara (Rick) Nero of Ohio, Karen (Ed) Roncari of Cadillac, Theresa (Nick) DiStephano of Windson, CN, Patricia Mueller of Ludington; brothers: Bill Mueller, Jim Mueller of Florida, John Mueller of Oak Park, Don (Margie) Mueller of Sterling Heights; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Mueller.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2003 in St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot with Rev. Richard Bokinskie and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri officiating. Interment is in St. Michael Cemetery, Wilmot. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Pallbearers for Mrs. Lapeer: Don Trzemzalski, Jeff Hoskey , John Mueller, Don Mueller, Rick Nero and Nick DeStephano.

Visitation: 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday
2 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday
10 to 11 a.m. Monday in church
