FRANCES JENNETTE LA PEER
Frances Jennette LaPeer, 90, of Cass City, died Monday, November 7, 2005 in Northwood Meadows Medical Unit. She was born November 1, 1915 at home in a log cabin in Austin Township to John S. and Frances J. (Peters) Franzel. She married Arnold C. LaPeer December 22, 1934 in Sandusky. He died September 9, 1996.
Frances was a former member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Freiburg and a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church. She was a member of the Greenleaf Extention Club, Farm Bureau and Card Club.
Frances is survived by her special nephew, Charles (Sharon) Franzel of Ubly; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Wayne LaPeer who died December 16, 1952 in a hunting accident; brothers: John Franzel, Peter Franzel, Glen Franzel, Albert Franzel; sisters: Mary Hunt, Stella Franzel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gaylord and Charlotte LaPeer.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2005 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Fillion officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Hospice Advantage of Bay City. Pallbearers for Mrs. LaPeer are her great nephews: Gary Franzel, Chris Franzel, Mike Franzel, Dave Franzel, Kevin Franzel and Charles Franzel.
