MELVIN CHARLES LAMING,
71, of Cass City died June 8, 2018 in Courtney Manor, Bad Axe. He was born April 2, 1947 in Cass City to Max Bernard and Lavara (Morrish) Laming. He married Bonnie Jean Fox April 30, 1971 in Holbrook Church, Ubly.
Melvin graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1965. He was a hard-working farm hand at Morell Dairy Farms for over 40 years. Because he worked so hard, he appreciated his Sunday’s off. Most evenings would find Melvin relaxed in his chair watching television.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters: Michelle (Marcus Kelso) Perry of Naples, FL, Marsha (Darin) Gilbert of Macomb, Jillian (Ron Palmer) Laming of Cass City, Joni Laming of Rockford; grandchildren: Jaclyn Palmer, Madelyne Gilbert, Dylan Gilbert; siblings: Carol Laming of Cass City, Larry (Eileen) Laming of Commerce Township, Dale (Elaine) Laming of Ubly, Louis (Anna) Laming of Ubly, Eva (Frank) Horning of Cass City, Walter (Sue) Laming of Cass City; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
