Jeremy S. Lalko, 27, of Kingston, died in a motorcycle accident Sunday, August 24, 2003 in Riley, KS. He was born October 14, 1975 in Caro to Paul and Evelyn (Beyette) Lalko. He married Katherine LaBarge October 6, 1995 in Lapeer.
Jeremy graduated from North Branch Wesleyan High School in 1994. He joined the U.S. Army in 1997 serving as a corporal at Fort Carson in Colorado where he earned many achievement awards. He later worked as a truck driver and floorlayer. He enjoyed his family, and loved spending time with his children and brothers. He was active in a Youth for Christ singing group called Satisfaction, and enjoyed singing at his church. His hobbies also included model cars and playing the guitar.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Katherine; children: Jeremy Scott Jr., Emmajean Joy, and John Paul; parents: Paul (Evelyn) Lalko of Kingston; siblings: Shawn Lalko of Caro, Kristopher Lalko of Kingston, Amanda (Joseph) Martin of North Branch; parents-in-law: Daryl (Colleen) LaBarge of Clearwater, FL; brother-in-law, Eric LaBarge of Detroit; sister-in-law, Amy (Dave) Majeski of Grand Rapids; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; grandparents; Eldon (Dorothy) Rosegart, Helen Asselin.
Funeral services held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2003 at Kingston Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ken Sandefur, Rev. Ernie Hautala of Dayton Center Church and Rev. Rudyard K. Fay officiating. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Pallbearers for Mr. Lalko will be: Scott Fetting, Rob Phillips, Jeff Mallory, Cory Skinner, Bill Skinner, and Larry Ross.
