Genevieve E. Lalko, 85, of Kingston, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born August 24, 1917 in Detroit to Leon and Katherine (Nowicka) Podgorski. She married John Lalko June 2, 1951 in Clifford. He died March 15, 1990.

Genevieve worked for Clifford Manufacturing, Kingston Schools, and the Post Office. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed crocheting and bingo.
Genevieve is survived by her children: Paul (Evelyn) Lalko of Kingston, Stephen (Laura) Lalko of Caro, Donna (Randall) Bang of Deford, Kenneth Lalko of Pinconning, Dennis Lalko of Clinton, MT; grandchildren: Jeremy, Shawn, Kristopher, Amanda, Eric, Lyndsay, Adam and Russell Lalko, Mathias and Eli Bang; 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Walter, Stanley, Edward, Jack, Louis and Joseph Podgorski, Lydia and Virginia Oleksy.

Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2002 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot, with Sr. Ruth Adamites officiating. Interment is in St. Michael Cemetery, Wilmot. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.

Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2002
Vigil service 7 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2002
