MILLIE KUTEY

Millie Kutey, 87, of Cass City, died Saturday, May 16, 2009 in Brian’s House, Bay City following a short illness. She was born August 23, 1921 in Detroit to George and Anna (Milianic) Malner. She married Anthony “Tony” M. Kutey May 16, 1942 in Detroit. He died June 30, 1990.

Millie owned and operated two beauty shops in Detroit. She retired as a beautician in 1986. After retiring Millie and Tony moved permanently to Cass City. Millie volunteered at Hills & Dales General Hospital and Rawson Memorial Library. Millie enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking and clogging, which she didn’t take up until after Tony’s death.

Millie is survived by her daughter, Dolores (Silvano) Veggian of Cass City; grandchildren: Anthony (Trisha) Veggian of Roseville, Danielle Veggian of Royal Oak; great grandchildren: Cassidy and Logan Veggian; sisters: Anna Masters of Decker, Daisy Saad of Kinde; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Raymond Karr, Caro United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Brian’s House Bay City.
