DONALD HENRY KRUSE
Donald Henry Kruse, 84, of Cass City, died peacefully Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center of Caro. He was born February 18, 1933 in Wisner to Henry and Catherine (Thaut) Kruse. He married Shirley Ann Strauch May 2, 1953 in Linkville Lutheran Church.
Don was a proud dairy farmer. Following his retirement, he went to work with his son Dean on his dairy farm. Don also spent a brief time working in Elkland Township Cemetery. He enjoyed playing Euchre, snowmobiling in the winter and riding his Yamaha motorcycle in the warmer months. Don loved his dogs, especially Rex. His favorite snack food was popcorn and he was always eager to share.
Don is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons: Dean (Cindy) Kruse of Cass City, Duane (Connie) Kruse of Caro, Doug (Kathy) Kruse of Cass City; grandchildren: Paul (Brandi) Kruse, Rebecca (Brandon) Sulicki, Christopher Kruse, Amanda Hamilton, Michelle (Brandon) Speirs; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters and their husbands.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Cass City, with Rev. Steve Bagnall officiating. Interment in Grant Township Cemetery.
