EILEEN MARIE KRUG
Eileen M. Krug, 83, of Caro, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility following a long illness. She was born August 27, 1924 in Detroit to Fred and Martha (Zilz) Hass. She married Edward Hoppe May 12, 1945 in Detroit. He died April 2, 1970. She later married John Krug July 21, 1972 in Cass City. He died December 7, 1990.
Eileen lived in the area for 67 years. She was a 4-H leader for many years. She was the janitor for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a babysitter for many children in the area. Eileen enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for family and friends. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Eileen is survived by her children: Sharon (Ronald) Rockwell of Snover, Stanley Hoppe of Caro, Drs. Susan (Charles Reed) Hoppe of Cass City, Christopher (Ruth) Hoppe of Cass City; step children: Connie (David) McNaughton of Cass City, John (Luella) Krug of Deford, Karen (Paul) Kersh of Tawas City; sister, Bernice (Henry) Vega of Traverse City; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Loretta Bake and Mildred Witek.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Gerald Meyer officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Township Cemetery, Shabbona.
