DELBERT "DEL LEO KRUEGER,
60, of Decker, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 in his home, following a short illness. He was born December 21, 1944 in Cass City to Leo David and Evelyn Ruth (Cornell) Krueger. He married Charlene Ann Derengowski April 8, 1967 in Cass City.
Del graduated from Kingston High School in 1963. He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. Del was a lifelong Dairy Farmer. Del was a member of FFA throughout high school, a member of MMPA for 35 years and a member of Farm Bureau. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot. Delbert so loved his family and friends. He loved working with his dairy cows and sitting under his magnolia tree. He was an avid Rolling Stones fan.
Del is survived by his wife, Charlene; children: Robert (Michelle Yax) Krueger of Cass City, Richard Krueger of Mt. Pleasant, Jeremy (Jodi) Krueger of Decker, Jenna (his Little Dumpling) Krueger of Decker; granddaughters: Samantha, Tabatha and Savanna of Cass City, Katelyn of Decker; mother, Evelyn Krueger of Deford; sisters: Joann (Ralph) VanStone of Lapeer, Thelma TerBush (Fred) of Clio, Linda (special friend, Floyd Cargill) of Decker; brother-in-law, Gary Haebler of Decker; brother, Ken Krueger of Deford; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria and Bill Sattelberg and family of Midland; honorary daughter, Angela Gruber; many wonderful neighbors. Del was another grandpa to Trysten. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo who died April 14, 1990.
Everyone is invited to a memorial service to be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Dels home on Lamton Road with Rev. Daniel OSullivan and Rev. Jim Fader Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to American Red Cross. Military honors under the direction of Cass City VFW Post #3644.
