MICHAEL DAVID KROPEWNICKI
Michael D. Kropewnicki, 48, of Cass City, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in Hills & Dales General Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was born December 19, 1957 in Greenville to Robert Eugene and Agnes Bridget (Skinner) Kropewnicki. He married Catherine Adams July 14, 1979 in Greenville.
Mike received his Masters in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He worked for Meijer Inc. for ten years, Jordan and Baker Colleges for nine years and was self employed with his landscaping business for five years. Mike currently worked for Gemini Group in Bad Axe where he has worked for the last ten years. He was an avid runner and member of the Bay Area Runners Club. He had received many trophies and medals. Mike served on the Village of Cass City Zoning Board of Appeals as Chairperson for ten years. He was a member of the Cass City Chamber of Commerce and the Cass City/Gagetown Knights of Columbus #8892. Mike loved scuba diving and off roading with his jeep. He enjoyed camping and traveling and loved his new Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Mike is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Michelle (Arnold Buckley) Kropewnicki of Davie, FL; parents: Robert and Bridget Kropewnicki of Greenville; brothers and sisters: Robert E. (Sheryl) Kropewnicki, Jr. of Grand Rapids, Susan Lee (Kendall) Martin of Grand Rapids, Teresa (Scott) Chapman of Grand Haven, Patrick Kropewnicki of Covington, KY, Pamela (Casey) Lake of Greenville; many nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins in Ontario and New Foundland; mother-in-law, Natalie (Richard) Kilfoil of Greenville, sister-in-law, Ann (James) Stump of Portland; brothers-in-law: John (Cindy) Adams of New Era, Daniel (Lee) Adams of Frankenmuth. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Emerson Adams; grandparents, including grandfather Julian Kropewnicki; great aunt, Barbara Bush; uncle, Richard (Phyllis) Kropewnicki.
Funeral service held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 in St. Michael Catholic Church with Sr. Riccardina Sylvestri officiating. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Lance Armstrong Foundation. Interment will take place in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Greenville.
