KRISTEN ANNE KAMPO

Kristen A. Kampo, 64, of Cass City, Michigan died Saturday, February 15, 2025 in her home. She was born February 28, 1960 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Eugene William and E. Juanita (Herrick) Blaser. She married her high school sweetheart, Bradley Pierce, on September 26, 1981 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Unfortunately, Brad passed away on July 5, 2001. Missing love and partnership, she was fortunate to meet Ron Kampo and they were married on August 2, 2002 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City.

Kristen had graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1979. Her first child, Stephanie was born in 1982. Kristen moved to Michigan in 1984, and had her second child, Norman in 1985. She lived in Deford before moving to Cass City. Kristen had a career of over 30 years with the United States Post Office, having worked at the Deford Post Office for thirteen years, the Silverwood Post Office for seven years, and the Carrollton Post Office for ten years before retiring. She enjoyed reading and her two favorite things were shopping and dining out with friends and family. Kristen was also a member of Novesta Church of Christ.

Kristen is survived by her husband, Ron Kampo; daughter, Stephanie (Ryan) Fraser of New Hudson, Ml; sons: Norman (Ashlee) Pierce of Cass City, Ml; Ethan Kampo of Cass City, Ml; step-son, Joe Kampo of Grayling, Ml; granddaughter, Cecelia Pierce; siblings: Eugene "Bill" Blaser Jr. of Virginia, Vicki (David) Bailey of Iowa, John Blaser of Iowa; Brad's parents, Norman (Dorene) Pierce of Iowa; father-in-law, Robert Kampo of Oakland, Ml; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Juanita Blaser; first husband, Brad; and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Kampo.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating, with lunch to follow. If you would like to send a card, February 28, 2025 would have been Kristen's birthday so we welcome you to send a birthday card rather than a sympathy card. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be made to Michigan ALS or United Hospice of Marlette, Ml. Interment will be in New Oregon Cemetery, in Cresco, Iowa at a later date.
