Gary R. Kremkow, 45, of Kingston, died following a long illness Sunday, October 12, 2008 in his home with his family by his side. He was born October 13, 1962 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia to Richard and Joanne (Bidwell) Kremkow. He married Lisa Drye May 3, 1986 in Ortonville.
Gary graduated from Ortonville High School. He then attended MoTech Technical School in Livonia graduating as a Certified Mechanic. Gary was a truck driver, driving for Hamilton’s of Ortonville and Tippett Excavating until his illness would no longer allow him to drive. Gary loved to work with his hands; building motors, making engines go faster; constantly thinking about the workings of the motors he was working on. He enjoyed deer hunting with his buddy. He loved the outdoors, taking walks in the woods and just being outside. Gary was a family oriented man. He loved spending time with his kids.
Gary is survived by his wife, Lisa; children: Ashley Kremkow, Gary Kremkow, Jr. , Christopher Kremkow all at home; father, Richard Kremkow of Zionsville, IN; brothers: Brian (Amy) Kremkow of Lansing, Robert (Maggie) Kremkow of Kenosha, WI; nieces: Ella and Madelynn; nephews: Matthew, Ryan, and Nathaniel; uncle, Albert Bidwell; many aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Kremkow.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Rev. Eric Kilmer of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Marlette officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
