MARGIE LORRAINE KRAMER
Margie L. Kramer, 84, of Kingston, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in her home. She was born March 18, 1922 in Marlette to Leo and Mary (McKenzie) Legg. She married William Marvin Kramer Christmas Day, 1942 in Kingston.
Margie attended County Normal. She taught school for several years in Michigan and New York and loved her work as a substitute teacher and librarian in Kingston Elementary School. She was a member of the White Creek Floral Club, Literary Club, Kingston United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women. Margie loved her activities with the Kingston schools, the community of Kingston and doing luncheons at Kingston United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and loved spending time with her family.
Margie is survived by her husband: W. Marvin Kramer; children: Mary Lanna (Venard) Stark of Kingston, Douglas (Paula) Kramer of Kingston, Rodney (Janet) Kramer of Kingston, Joy (Rick Bow) Kramer Bow of Kingston; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren with two more due soon; sister, Jane Anne Lalko of Kingston; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, William Marvin Kramer, Jr.; brother, Harland Legg.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2006 in Kingston United Methodist Church with Rev. Margaret Passenger of East Raisinville Frenchtown United Methodist Church and Rev. Rick Brown of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Kingston United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Pallbearers for Mrs. Kramer are her grandsons. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
