TIMOTHY LEE KNOBLET,
59, of Cass City, died unexpectedly in his home Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was born August 15, 1954 in Cass City to Fred Edward and Eva Mae (Pearce) Knoblet.

Tim was a lifelong farmer raising Herefords on the family farm. He graduated from Cass City High School and went on to graduate from Albion College with a BA in History and Secondary Education. Tim enjoyed sports and was very competitive. He was awarded the Paul Smarks Outstanding Athlete award and was voted All State Class B Linebacker. Later Tim served as an Assistant High School Football Coach in Cass City, a job he truly loved. He was a loyal University of Michigan fan. Tim was very knowledgeable, a terrific historian with a love for Civil War facts. He was a lifelong member of Novesta Church of Christ.

Tim is survived by his brothers: James (Suzanne) Knoblet of Seattle, WA, Dr. Gerald (Linda) Knoblet of Mt. Hope, WV; nephews and niece: Don Knoblet, Heather (Jamie) Byrum, Ben (Angie) Knoblet; great nephews: Gabriel, Elijah and Isaiah. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Novesta Church of Christ with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Novesta Church of Christ Youth Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
