MARY ANN KNIGHT
Mary Ann Knight, 99, of Cass City, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City. She was born July 13, 1918 in Bad Axe to Warren and Ida (Pettinger) Nugent. She married Ephraim Stanley Knight October 18, 1941 in Bad Axe. He died July 14, 1997.
Mary diligently worked next to her husband on the family farm. She served for many years as the Assistant Grant Township Treasurer. Mary and Ephraim enjoyed dancing together as members of the Town and Country Square Dance Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends in Northwood Meadows and completing many word search books. Mary was a great cook and was famous for her cinnamon rolls.
Mary is survived by her children: Janis Marie (Aaron) Wolfe of Davison; Edward Warren (Dorothy) Knight of Cass City; grandchildren: Troy Aaron (Tammi) Wolfe of Oxford; Kara Lee (Tom) Stuewe of Mason; Laura Leigh (Tim) Schneider of Rochester Hills; great grandchildren: Briana Wolfe, Andrea Wolfe, Matthew Wolfe, Trent Stuewe, Joshua Schneider, Faith Schneider; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Elinore Marquardt, Fay Hanselman, Carol Nieman, Florence Osminski; brothers: Lyle Nugent, John Nugent.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in First Presbyterian Church of Cass City with Rev. Linda Graham officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Rawson Memorial Library or Northwood Meadows.
