Beatrice E. King, 78, of Kingston, died Sunday, June 29, 2003 in her home. She was born February 1, 1925 in Saginaw to Calvin and Mable (Lounsbury) Hiser. She married Lewis D. King October 18, 1944 in her home in Caro.

Beatrice was a cook at Beagio’s for 5 years. She was well known for her wonderful pies. Beatrice was a member of the Lamotte Missionary Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also attended the Cass City Missionary Church in Cass City and the Kingston Wesleyan Church. She was very gifted in teaching children and also loved gardening.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Lewis; children: Dara (Chuck) Clark of Breckenridge, Evelyn (Jerry) Brooks of Kansas City, MO, Mary Lou (Roger) Cooper of Cass City, Delbert (Patty) King of Suffolk, VA, Barbie (Bruce) Dalmen of Kansas City, MO, Lehn (Marlene) King of Marlette; 25 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters: Nina Janks of Caro, Geraldine (Archie) Ferguson of Kingston; brother, Carl (Donna) Hiser of Caro; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers: LZ, Cliff, and Adrian Hiser and an infant sister.

Funeral services held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at Kingston Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ken Sandefur of Kingston Wesleyan Church and Rev. Dave Edwards of the Cass City Missionary Church officiating. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Missions Fund of granddaughter, Becky Clark.
