Frances Kilburn

March 18, 1917 — August 1, 2003

Frances Kilburn, 86, of Deford, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 1, 2003 in her home after a long illness. She was born March 18, 1917 in Perry County, KY to Wilse and Cassie (Browning) Eversole. She married Carl L. Kilburn January 12, 1935 in Big Creek, KY. He died August 2, 1989.

Frances worked as a supervisor at the Pontiac State Hospital, retiring after 19 years. She enjoyed cooking, canning and quilting. Frances loved gardening and working among her flowers.

Frances is survived by sons: Jesse (Retha) Kilburn of White Lake, Ira (Linda) Kilburn of Pontiac, Murrell (Evelyn) Kilburn of Deford; grandchildren: Renee (Joe), Rodney, Rhonda (Tim), Russell, Ramona (Doug), Terry (Sally), Richard (Carolyn), Vicki (Larry), Tracy (Cherie), Randy (Margaret), Michelle (David), Jeremy, Jim (Brenda), Mark, James (Beth Ann), Ruth and Charles; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charles Hamilton; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Corbin Eversole; sisters: Anna Combs, Elizabeth Hamilton.

Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston, with Pastor Stu Roy officiating. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Memorials may be made to Deford Christian Academy. Pallbearers for Mrs. Kilburn: Charles Stevens, Mark, James, Terry, Rick and Randy Kilburn, Russ Grant.

Visitation: 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2003
