BETTY JANE KELLEY,
85, of Kingston, died following a short illness Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Country Hill Adult Foster Care Home, Mayville. She was born September 2, 1927 in Pigeon to Fred and Jennie Marie (Smith) Brown. She married Robert Arthur Kelley October 4, 1947 in Pontiac. He died November 8, 2007.
Betty worked over ten years for Walbro. She retired from Bendix Trailer Factory Marlette after 15 years. Betty enjoyed playing cards with friends, snowmobiling and making crafts. She and Bob enjoyed camping with their RV across the United States and at their Grindstone City property. But most important to Betty was spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her children: Susan (Ronald) Chappel of Gaylord, SueAnn (Lee) Chapel of Silverwood, Frederick (Sherri) Kelley of Caro; grandchildren: Robert Chapel, Kelly Waskel, Jennifer (Chad) Sides, Joann (Larry) Fortier, Chanda (fiance' Jon Brown) Kelley; great grandchildren: Makenzie, Logan, Ana, Madelyn, Joseph. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Fred Brown, Wilbur Brown, Arthur Benfield; sister, Mae Harneck.
Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Rev. Ronald Hutchinson of Silverwood United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Country Hill Adult Foster Care Home or Silverwood United Methodist Church.
