Eleanor Keller, 91, died Monday, May 19, 2003 in Crown Point Assisted Living, Spring Hill, Florida. She was born June 16, 1911 in Kansas to Nicholas and Lena (Schmidt) Bauer. She married John Keller August 17, 1929 in Argyle. He died June 12, 1961.
Eleanor retired from Caro State Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Alter Society in Argyle, where she attended church. She lived on her farm in rural Cass City for nearly 60 years, where she loved to garden and grew beautiful flowers. She also made many afghans.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters: Rosalie (Louis) Walsh of Ubly, Betty Bell of Chicago, IL, Joyce (Don) Crouse of Spring Hill, FL; sons: John Keller Jr. of Sandusky, Carl (Barb) Keller of Argyle, Frank (Nancy) Keller of Cass City; son-in-law, Robert Brown of Cass City; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Marion Brown; grandchildren: Paul Keller, Ruby Bell, Richard, Sidney, Joseph and Renee Walsh; son-in-law, James Bell; brothers: Adam, Edward and Valentine Bauer; sisters: Virginia Bauer and Josephine Childers.
Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Argyle, with Rev. T.J. Fleming officiating. Interment is in St. Joseph & St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery, Frieburg. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
