KATHLEEN MARIE MARTIN

Kathleen M. Martin, 85, of Vassar, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw.  She was born December 6, 1938 in Pontiac to Bernard and Vivian (Campbell) DeLisle.  She married Morris William Martin on February 13, 1960 in Vassar.  He died January 3, 2009.

Kathleen was on a bowling league in her younger years.   She loved tending to her beautiful flower gardens.  Kathleen liked to go fishing, turkey and deer hunting.  She was an avid hunter until two years ago.  Some of her favorite adventures took place while bear hunting in the Upper Peninsula with her brother, John and nephew, Jeremy. Kathleen loved her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.   She will be remembered for having a heart of gold and for doing anything for anyone.

Kathleen is survived by her sons:  Tim (Alice) Martin of Caro, Paul (Marie) Martin of Vassar, Aaron (Vickie) Martin of Clifford, Matthew (Gert) Martin of Harrison; grandchildren: Josh Martin, Joe Martin, Jake Martin; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sisters: Delores DeLisle of Kingston, Vivian Hoose of Caro, Patricia (Richard) Randall of Kingston.  She was preceded in death by her siblings: John DeLisle, Bernard “Bud” Delisle, sisters:  Amy Thane, Dawn Seizemore.

Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Pastor Len Wyatt of the Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating.  Pallbearers for Mrs. Martin are:  Matt, Aaron, Josh, Joe, Jake, and Jeremy. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.     

Visitation: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston
