NANCY ELLEN JONES
85, of Bad Axe, died following a brief illness Saturday, December 19, 2020 in her home. She was born January 17, 1935 in Monroe to Arthur and Alice (Richmond) George. She married William Edward Jones November 6, 1954 in Monroe. He died December 17, 1995.
Nancy graduated from Monroe High School. She worked on her family’s farm for many years. Nancy also worked for NFO Collection Point for several years and served as secretary on the Sanilac County Fair Board. She enjoyed challenging puzzles and cross word books. Nancy was proficient at cross stitching and sewing. She was a member of Shabbona Riverside Church.
Nancy is survived by her son, Mike Jones of Sandusky; daughters: Lisa Robarts of Bad Axe, Sharon Jones of Bad Axe; grandchildren: Ryan, Becca, John, Victoria, Amanda, Cassidy, Dillon. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sharry Nesbit; siblings: Margaret, Ruth, Mary, Carol, Sally, David, Marian, Frances; son-in-law, Gary Robarts.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Shabbona Riverside Church, Decker with Pastor Dan Dickenson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Township Cemetery.
