ESTHER ROSALEE JONES,
84, of Monroe, died October 8, 2021 in Fountain View Nursing Home, Monroe. She was born April 18, 1937 in Snover to Edward Mark and Jesse Elizabeth (Day) Starr. She married Harold Easton in 1955, he died in 1995. She married Norman Jones in 1998, he died in 2020.
Fishing, camping, and playing cards were some of her favorite hobbies. Esther especially loved the time she spent living “up north” in Prudenville. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
Esther is survived by her children: Randy (Nancy) Easton of Lapeer, Debbie ( George Ulics) Easton of Monroe; two grandsons: Chris (Heather) Easton of Lapeer, Philip (Alysia) Easton of Lapeer; three great-grandchildren: Isabelle Easton, Kody Easton, Kyle Easton; brother, Gordon Starr of Michigan; sister, Joyce (Bergman) Schlamp of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Robinson; brothers: Dean Starr, Ray Starr; grandson, Eric Easton.
Graveside service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Novesta Township Cemetery with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
