 JEAN MARIE SCHULZ

Jean M. Schulz, 70, of Deford died Sunday, February 16, 2025 in Covenant Healthcare, Saginaw. She was born September 28, 1954 in Cass City to Bernard Dale and Mary Lou (Stevens) Spencer. She married Elmer Frederick Schulz on April 2, 1977 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Cass City. 

Jean worked at Snover Stamping, then as a full-time homemaker, and babysat for many children over the years. She enjoyed time spent up north on her “girl’s trip” every June with her sister and aunts. Jean enjoyed playing BINGO, golf, bowling, and shopping. She played Pinochle a couple of times a week, with her friend Pat, in Caro. Jean loved caring for her cats and going to the casino. She adored her two grandsons. Jean was a loyal member of Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City. 

Jean is survived by her husband, Elmer; son, Jeremy (Sarah) Schulz of Deford; grandchildren: Wyatt and Cole; siblings: Leo (Julie) Spencer of Caro; Cindy Donaghy of Sandusky; aunts and uncle: Joyce (Dale) Stevens, Luella Kirbeson. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Donald Donaghy. 

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating. Memorials may be made to the Cass River Pet Friendz. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery in the spring.
