JANET MARIE WALDEN

Janet M. Walden, “the Sears lady”, 76 of Port Austin died Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from multiple health issues in Florida.  She was the first of six children born June 29, 1947 to Floyd and Josephine (Spencer) Griem.

Janet was the one everyone turned to in times of trouble.  She worked for King Photo, Sears, a Post Office, and the Thumb Blanket.  Janet loved anything and everything horse or Elvis related.  She enjoyed keeping her brain active by solving Sudoku puzzles.

Janet is survived by her three sons:  Harold (Sandra) of Panama City Beach, FL; William Walden of Harbor Beach; Robert Walden of Panama City, FL; four grandchildren; many great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Griem; sisters:  Carol Deck, Linda Campbell; one daughter; two granddaughters.       

Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Lee Wenskay of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Pigeon officiating.  Interment will be in Port Austin Township Cemetery. 

Visitation:    11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
