PATRICIA FRANCES JACOB
73, of Kingston, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in her daughter’s home. She was born December 8, 1946 in McCook, NE to Earl and Marcella (Keegan) Ridpath. She married Kenneth James Jacob February 5, 1966 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caro. He passed away September 22, 2018.
After graduating from Indianola High School, NE in 1965, Patricia devoted her life to being a caregiver, homemaker and a devoted member of Saint Dominic Savio Chapel where she served on the Altar Society. Patricia was a talented artist and created many beautiful paintings and ceramics. She painted many of Ken’s woodworking pieces. Patricia enjoyed traveling, particularly to the Carolinas and Florida. She had a passion for cats, reading, and rock hunting in Northern Michigan. Patricia loved getting together with her family, especially spending summers with her grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her children: Cynthia Varcasia of Louisville, TN; Diane (Dennis) Gibson of Maryville, TN; Susan (Ron) Johnson of Columbus, IN; Paula (Mark) Walker of Harrogate, TN; Deb (Chris) Randall of Kingston; Donald Jacob of Kingston; 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; siblings: Mary Jacob of Titusville, FL; Shawn Ridpath of Kingston; Richard Ridpath of Cheyenne, WY; several nieces, nephews and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken; great-grandson, Bentley; siblings: Joseph, Michael, Michael, Donald, Cheri, Thomas, Karen, Roselynn, Kenneth, Teresa, Michael, Kathleen, Robert; son-in-law, Randy Denson.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in St. Dominic Savio Chapel, 7095 Kochville Road, Freeland with Fr. Daniel Ahern officiating. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. in church. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery, Wells Township. Memorials may be made to St. Dominic Savio Altar Guild.
