KENNETH JAMES JACOB
Kenneth James Jacob, 72, of Kingston, formerly of Caro, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Marlette Regional Hospital. He was born May 22, 1946 in Harbor Beach to Samuel Joseph and Fern E. (Bennett) Jacob, Jr. He married Patricia F. Ridpath February 5, 1966 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caro.
Ken graduated from Caro High School in 1965. He joined the U.S. Air Force where he worked on jets as an aircraft mechanic. Following his military service, Ken worked as a mechanic for Eastland Total Service Center and for various pickle plants. He enjoyed collecting rocks, woodworking and was proud of his large collection of angels. Ken was an avid photographer and always had his camera with him. Most important to Ken was his faith and his family. He was a past member of the Caro American Legion Post #7.
Ken is survived by his wife, Patricia and their children: Cynthia Varrasia of Maryville, TN; Diane (Dennis) Gibson of Maryville, TN; Susan (Ron) Johnson of Columbus, IN; Paula (Mark) Walker of Speedwell, TN; Deb (Chris) Randall of Kingston; Donald Jacob of Kingston; 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brothers: Samuel (Mary) Jacob III of Titusville, FL; Doug (Julie) Jacob of Gwin; Keith (Connie) Jacob of Wilmot; sisters: Gail Romain of Holly; Linda (Marty) Lipan of Sebring, FL; Maryann (Larry) Overfield of Sebring, FL; several nieces, nephews and relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Richard Jacob, Thomas Jacob; sisters: Joan Urmos, Janet Putnam; great grandson, Bentley Ojeda; son-in-law Randy Denson.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in St. Dominic Savio Chapel, 7095 Kochville Road, Freeland with Fr. Daniel Ahern officiating. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery, Caro. Memorials may be made to St. Philomena Auxiliary.
