RICHARD MONROE JACKSON,
61, of Caro, died following a long illness Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Heartland Health Care Center, Saginaw. He was born March 31, 1951 in Hazel Park to William Monroe and Beatrice (Moore) Jackson. He married Kathy Ilene Keller March 29, 1972 in Madison Heights.

After graduating from high school Richard began a 30 year career with Chrysler at the Dodge Truck Plant in Warren retiring in 2001. He was a third generation Chrysler employee. Richard loved trains and everything about them. He collected trains and matchbox cars. He enjoyed boating in the boat he and his wife built. Richard enjoyed camping in their motorhome with the train track on top and he enjoyed their many trips to the beautiful state of Tennessee. He was a very active, imaginative man who lived life to the fullest.

Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy; children: Timothy (Brandy) Jackson of Kingston, Richard (Patrick Krueger) Jackson of Warren, Angela (John) Jarrard of Caro; grandchildren: Dakota, Kaylei, Christian, Anthony, Hayley, Katie, Cade, Deannber, Gage, Klarissa; sister, Barbara (Doyle) Cook of Howell; nieces and nephews: Sarah Cook, Crystal Cook, Christopher Lee, Andrew Lee, Robert Keller, Beth Keller Dumeney. He is preceded in death by grandson, Thomas Jackson; brother, Johnathon Jackson.

Funeral service held 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home - Kingston with Pastor Thomas Brink of Lamotte Missionary Church officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
