Laurence E. Hyatt, 75, of Snover, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Deckerville Hospital. He was born April 6, 1939 in Imlay City to Ernest and Edith (Chapman) Hyatt. He married Peggy Campbell October 14, 1961 in Gilford, Michigan.
Laurence graduated from Cass City High School in 1958. He was a member of the Mizpah Missionary Church and a member of Farm Bureau. Over the years, Laurence enjoyed farming. He later worked at Marlette Trailer Factory and General Cable and retired from Sanilac Medical Care Facility after 20 plus years. Laurence was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching softball and baseball.
Laurence is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; children: Douglas (Vicky) Hyatt of Deford, Thomas (Corrine) Hyatt of Carsonville, Dennis (Tammy) Hyatt of Columbiaville; grandchildren: Christopher, Jeramie, Brent, Casey, Joshua, Kayla and Caitlin; sister, Marjorie (Bill) Arnott of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Mizpah Missionary Church with Pastor Dale Bullock, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
