SCOTT FOWLER HUTCHINSON,
53, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 2, 2020 in his home. He was born August 1, 1966 in Cass City to Dean and Nancy (Brown) Hutchinson.
Scott graduated from Cass City High School with Class of 1985. He went on to attend and graduate from the Detroit Institute of Heating and Cooling, where he specialized in plumbing. For many years, he was employed by Shetler Plumbing and Heating, Inc. of Pigeon. Scott enjoyed being on the water and fishing for anything that swam. An animal lover, pigs and horses were his favorites and he wished to someday raise calves. Scott learned the skill of successful bee keeping from his father, Dean. He truly loved his “inherited” grandchildren.
Scott is survived by his parents, Dean and Nancy Hutchinson of Cass City; sister, Deanna Merchant of Cass City; nephews: Kevin (Kayla) Merchant of Gagetown, James Merchant of Royal Oak, Hoyt Merchant of Dover, DE. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Fowler and Fanny Hutchinson, Hazen and Margaret Brown.
A public celebration of Scott’s life held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Cass City Gun Club with Brad Spiers of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Private family graveside service was held April 7, 2020 in Elkland Township Cemetery with Pastor Bob Demyanovich of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating.
