JANICE LYNN HUNT,
66, of Cass City, died Friday, July 27, 2012 in Henry Ford Health System, Detroit. She was born September 24, 1945 in Cass City to Wayne and Donna (Smith) Parker. She married Richard T. Hunt May 13, 1967 in Cass City First Presbyterian Church.
Janice graduated from Cass City High School in 1964. She worked for General Cable for several years and then for Cass City State Bank as a teller. Janice later worked in the office for Geiger Hunt Ford, Bigelow Hardware and was manager of Hendrian's Floor Covering. Many years ago Janice was a member of the Cass City Lions Auxilliary. She enjoyed fishing and boating. Janice loved spending time at their cottage on the lake. She enjoyed tracing family heritage on ancestry websites. She was most happy and at peace with her grandchildren by her side.
Janice is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Brian (Erica) Hunt of Cass City, Cari (Kurt Russell) Hunt of Cass City; grandchildren: Casey, Morgan, Alex, Megan, Emma, and Ethan; sister, Barbara (Donald) Ball of Cass City; sisters-in-laws: Carolyn Parker of Caro, Sally (Jerry) Forthun of Atlanta, GA, Jane (Jack) Hool of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Parker.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Jackie Roe of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Revive Ministries of Cass City.
