NICHOLIA ANN HUIZAR
Nicholia A. Huizar, 61, of Gagetown, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Detroit Receiving Hospital. She was born October 1, 1946 in Roseville to Nicholas and Alma (Schroeder) Zimmerman. She married Christopher A. Huizar November 24, 1962 in Vassar.
Nicky owned and operated several restaurants including Nicky’s Elbow Room in Caro and Nicky’s Beagios in Gagetown. She was a former member of the Deford Missionary Church. Nicky was very active in coordinating the Caro Pumpkin Festival. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, needlepoint and loved to dance. Nicky truly enjoyed her family and being surrounded by children. Her and Chris raised over 61 children in their home.
Nicky is survived by her husband, Christopher; children: Jeff (Danielle) Childs of Grand Blanc, Chris Huizar II of Redford, Kevin (Linda) Huizar of Lincoln Park, Doreen (JT) Arwood of Redford; grandchildren: Christopher III, Brittany, Kyle, Nicholas, Steven, Justin, Josh, Rory, Ben, Selena; brothers: Dennis Zimmerman of Unionville, Ron (Sharon) Mouton of Waterford; sister, Alma (Bud) Davis of Clinton; sisters-in-law: LouAnn Zimmerman of Roseville, Charlotte Zimmerman of Caro, Dorothy Zimmerman of Middleburg, FL; brother-in-law, Neil Little of Middleburg, FL; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Richard Mouton; brothers: Bill Zimmerman, Allen Zimmerman, Art Zimmerman; sister, Joyce Little.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home �- Cass City with Elder Ervin Haley of Community of Christ Church, Bay Port, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Nicky’s family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Lawrence N.
