John “Jack” E. Hrabec, 86, of Cass City, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. He was born June 1, 1917 in Fort Dodge, IA to Steve and Katherine (Rabush) Hrabec. He married Frances Marie Zawilinski September 13, 1941 in Cass City.
Jack was a dairy farmer and also worked construction. He retired from Cass City School District as a custodian. He was a member of the St. Pancratius Catholic Church.
Jack is survived by his wife, Frances; children: Robert (Kay) Hrabec of Fuquay Varina, NC, Beverly (Eftihios) Siradakis of Bay City, James (Diane) Hrabec of Davison; grandchildren: Andy and Anthony Siradakis, Greg, Brian (Mia), Daniel, and Allison Hrabec; great granddaughters: Courtney and Caitlin Hrabec; sister, Marian Kociel of Detroit; brother, Frank Harbec of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Steven Hrabec, Margaret Laux, Joe Harbec and Katherine Peggy Moser.
Funeral services held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2003 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City with Rev. Steve Fillion officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to St Pancratius Catholic Church.
Visitation: 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2003
