ANNA B. HOWEY
Anna Howey, 93, of Kingston, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro, following a long illness. She was born May 9, 1915 in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 5 she moved to South Dakota to live with her mother, Mary, and stepfather Steve Buich. She married Peter Albert Campbell November 30, 1934 in Fairgrove. He died April 19, 1957. She married Loyd Howey June 27, 1970 in Kingston Wesleyan Church. He died March 7, 1997.
Anna attended and was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church which changed to Kingston Wesleyan Church and served on many of its committees and groups. She enjoyed baking and made the best bread and rolls. She also enjoyed knitting and quilting. Anna worked for Active Homes in Marlette from 1962 until 1974.
Anna is survived by her children: David (Alice) Campbell of Caro, Ernest (Norma) Campbell of Caro, Ray (Carolyn) Campbell of Auburn Hills, Larry ( Connie) Campbell of Attica, Carol (D.C.) Mason of Springdale, Ark; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; step-daughter, Wilma (Charles) Field of Metamora; step-brother, Steve Buich of Columbus, GA; step-sister, Bertha Spaulding of Essexville; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 in Kingston Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Len Wyatt officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Memorials may be made to Kingston Wesleyan Church or Charity of the Donor’s Choice. Pallbearers for Mrs. Howey are: George Pryor Jr., Dennis Rieck, John Flikkie, George Maynard, Fred Ruggles and Paul Lalko.
