Kyle T. Hopper, 52, of Deford, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 24, 1958 in Cass City to Theron A. and Onalee M. (Keilitz) Hopper. He married Sue Rocheleau, October 19, 2008 in Deford.
Kyle graduated from Cass City High School in 1976. He then attended ITT Tech in Indiana and made his career working with computers. Kyle loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kyle also loved spending time with his grandchildren and volunteering at their school.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Sue of Deford; children: Jessica Covarrubias of Unionville, Jason Torres of Gagetown; grandchildren and best buddies in the world Ayden and Alexa Torres of Gagetown; mother, Onalee Hopper of Deford; grandmother, Mildred Keilitz of Sanford, FL; brothers: Gene (Marlene) Hopper of Cass City, Kip Hopper of Davison; sister, Kerri (Glenn) Scerbicke of Bartlett, IL; mother-in-law, Nancy Whaley of Sebewaing; sisters-in-law: Joanne Hopper of Port Huron, Denise (Richard) Neumann of Sebewaing, Kathy (Larry) Rocheleau of Denver, CO, Shelly (John) Smedley of Kewadin, Kris Albrecht of Gagetown; brother-in-law Kevin Rocheleau of Paw Paw; many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much. Kyle is preceded in death by his father Theron Hopper in 1978 and his brother Kim Hopper in 2002.
