Ken Holter, 77, of Cass City, formerly of Detroit, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 in Tendercare Nursing Facility following a long illness. He was born January 25, 1929 in Berwick, PA to Alfred Eugene and Pauline (Dotson) Holter.
Ken served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He worked for the main branch of the Detroit Post Office for over 30 years. Ken was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and served in the Priesthood. He was a brilliant man and an avid reader.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Roberta Holter of Pigeon; special friends and caregivers, Margaret Grider and Raymond Grider both of Cass City; sisters and brothers: Keith (Gloria) Holter of San Diego, CA, Robert (Joan) Holter of Corning, NY, Ian Holter of Berwick, PA, Kathleen Pastorella of Las Vegas, NV, Sadie Spath of Essex, IA, Alfred Holter of Delphi, IN; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sisters: Patricia Holter and Beverly Holter.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Eldor Herrmann officiating. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Mr. Holter will be buried with his parents in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick, PA. Military honors under the direction of Cass City VFW Post #3644 and the US Army.
