SHIRLEY ANN HETHORN,
74, of Lincoln died unexpectedly Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Sebewaing. She was born May 1, 1942 in Detroit.

Shirley graduated from Alpena High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the tasks of cooking, baking and working in her vegetable garden. Shirley and Richard enjoyed fishing at their home in Okeechobe, Florida where they wintered for many years. Shirley loved going to flea markets in the Alpena area and the Okeechobe area and many stops in between. But her favorite time was spending time with her grandchildren whether just visiting or taking them along on vacations.

Shirley is survived by her children: Susan (Corey) Wilson of Cass City, David (Gabbi) Byers of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Shane (Bobbi Jo) Griggs, Cassy (Christopher) Himmel, Dallas (Mike Hammond) Gay, Michelle Byers, Patrick Byers; great grandchildren: Alana, Jace, Nash, Cam-Ron, Caira, Jaedyn, Trynitee, Aiden, David, Avianna; brother, Jim (Regina) Thompson of Alpena; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald David Byers and Darrell "Blackie" Hethorn; special friend of many years, Richard Burgoyne; infant daughter, Cathy Lynn; sisters: Lucille O'Brien, Edith Mouseau; brother, Jack Thomson; .

A combined Memorial service for Shirley and Richard will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at 302 W. Main St., Harrisville, MI 48740. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
