PATRICIA ELEANOR HESTER,
86, of Waterford, formerly of Cass City, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Waterford Oaks Senior Care Residence, Waterford. She was born October 26, 1931 at home on Germania Road, Cumber in Sanilac County to Ross and Mabel (Hawksworth) Brown.
Pat graduated from Cass City High School in 1949 and attended Business Institute following her graduation. She worked for General Motors as a Specifications Writer in the Engineering office, retiring after 26 years. Pat was a member of the Cass City Historical Society, Cass City Genealogy Society and was a very active member of the Thumb Octagon Barn Agricultural Museum. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, playing computer games and researching family genealogy.
Pat is survived by her sons: Bradley (Beth) Kitchin of Mesa, AZ, Brian (Kelly) Kitchin of Clarkston; grandchildren: Bradley Smola, Stephanie Smola, Chelsea Kitchin, Candace, Michelle and Michael; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Ione Smiley and Normaleen Root.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Dale Barber of Shabbona United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers for Pat will be: Dale McIntosh, Bob McIntosh. Memorials may be made to Thumb Octagon Barn Agricultural Museum.
