James Henderson

James W. Henderson, 71, of Silverwood, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in his home. He was born June 2, 1934 in New Bedford, IN to Thornton James and Alice (Stannard) Henderson. He married Carolyn Bright March 17, 1956 in Traverse City.
Jim graduated from Rochester High School. He then joined the US Air Force. During his time in the service he was a Radar Tech stationed in Alaska. Jim worked as an Electrical Engineer for Sun Electric in Pontiac and for General Motors Tech Center in Warren. He was a member of the Kingston VFW Post #5317. Jim enjoyed reading, telling stories and spending time with his friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children Matthew, Valerie, Pamala, Dave and Janna; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Alice Bauer.
Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2006 in Kingston VFW Post #5317 with Kingston VFW Post #5317 officiating and presenting military honors.
