Edwin J. Heineman, 81, of Brown City, formerly of Kingston, died Sunday, May 16, 2004 in Crestmont Extended Care Facility, Fenton. He was born August 16, 1922 in Kingston to Leo and Maggie (Sherwood) Heineman.
Edwin served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII. He was a Master Plumber, working as a Pipe fitter for General Motors Corporation, retiring after over 30 years. In years past, Edwin enjoyed hunting trips up north with his family. He was a member of the Kingston VFW Post #5317.
Edwin is survived by his children: Michael Heineman of Davison, Paul (Leslie) Heineman of Waterford, Kathleen Burt of Holly, Eric Heineman, Erin Love of Highland, Ellen (Larry) Sharp of Corunna, Kurt Heineman of South Lyon; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Edwin is preceded in death by his brother, Sherwood Heineman, and sister, Margaret Black.
Funeral services to be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Terry Butters of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to the Kingston VFW Post #5317. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. Military honors under the direction of Kingston VFW Post #5317.
