GLORIA SPENCE HARTWICK Gloria S. Hartwick, 80, of Cass City, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 in Harbor Beach Community Hospital Long Term Care Unit. She was born October 11, 1924 at home in Grant Township to Frederick and Leila (Gimmill) Milligan. She married Laurence E. Hartwick July 27, 1945 in Elkton. He died August 8, 1987. Gloria retired from Harris Hampshire Insurance Agency after many years. She had also worked at Anrod Screen and with her husband on the farm. Gloria was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cass City, and a former member of Cass City BPW. She was an avid reader, loved gardening, and following the Tigers. Gloria is survived by her sons: Richard (fiancé Laurie Roggenbuck) of Harbor Beach and Larry (Jeanne) Hartwick of Kinde; grandchildren: Edward Hartwick of Okemos, Andrew (Emily) of Mt. Pleasant, Elizabeth Hartwick of Rochester Hills, Benjamin Hartwick of Rochester Hills, Michael Hartwick of Rochester Hills; sisters: Mary Doerr of MN, Harriett (Harry) Hartwick of Deford; sister-in-law, Margaret Milligan of Decker; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers: John and Frederick Milligan, brother-in-law, Henry Doerr. Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. David Blackburn of First Presbyterian Church of Cass City officiating. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Rawson Memorial Library.
