BEATRICE MAE HARNECK,
83, of Kingston, died Monday, August 23, 2010 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center. She was born July 8, 1927 at home in Otter Lake to Charles and Viona (Jones) Jones. She married Donald G. Harneck September 9, 1949 in Detroit. He died January 18, 1976.
Beatrice was a former member of the White Creek Floral Club. She enjoyed bird watching, dancing and crocheting, making many beautiful blankets for her family. Beatrice also enjoyed working in her gardens especially tending her flowers.
Beatrice is survived by her children: Butch Harneck of Kingston, Janet (Wayne) Moore of Kingston, Lorn (Tracy Smith) Harneck of Kingston, Mary Lou (Donald) King of Cass City; grandchildren: Ronald (Tara Chorba) Moore, Donald (Teri) Moore, Angela (David Hernandez) Moore, Amy (Tom) Johnston, Nathan Harneck, Heather Smith, Drew King, Larissa King; great grandchildren: Darian, Lincoln, Taylor, Colton, Taylor and Olivia; sisters: Myrtle Diegel of Mio, Marjorie (Albert) Foote of Decker, Ruth Foster of Marlette, Lois (Jerry) Tallieu of Mio, Donna Price of Lithia Springs, GA. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Alvin Jones, Delton ‘Boney’ Jones; sister, Thelma Gerstenberger.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2010 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Debra L. Kranz Funeral Service Celebrant officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Harneck are Ronald Moore, Donald Moore, Tom Johnston, Nathan Harneck, Drew King, Dan Syms, and Kevin Stine.
