GRACE MAXINE HANEY
Grace Maxine Haney, 79, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 2, 2006 in her home. She was born August 7, 1927 in Gilford to Edward and Nancy (Spencer) Dora. She married Richard Haney June 19, 1935 in Snover. He died Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2000.
Maxine was a member of the Cass City VFW Post #3644 Auxiliary. She attended Novesta Church of Christ. Maxine worked at General Cable. Together with her husband they farmed from 1948 until 1963. Maxine and Richard owned and operated the Eat Shop Restaurant until their retirement in 1982. Maxine and her son Joe enjoyed traveling visiting many places in Michigan and other states.
Maxine is survived by her son, Joe Haney of Ann Arbor. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 in Cass City VFW Post #3644 with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Memorials may be made to Cass City VFW Post #3644 Auxiliary. Interment will be in Gilford Township Cemetery, Gilford.
